WAR AND PEACE
Democracies make the world safer and the United States should strive to support them wherever we can. We should do this by providing mutually beneficial trading arrangements, sharing our expertise where needed, and providing aid where necessary to help other nations build stable communities. We should lead by example at home - taking care of all of our communities and welcoming those who have been displaced by war and domestic violence in their homeland.
We should not view ourselves as the world police. We should not go to war without congressional approval. And we should not assassinate leaders of other countries absent a coherent long term strategy that has been vetted by the legislative branch and communicated with our allies. War with Iran in particular would be a catastrophe and we must do everything in our power to demand peace now.
